Dalmia Cement's Ariyalur plant starts new IKN cooler

An IKN Pendulum cooler has been installed at Dalmia Cement’s Ariyalur plant in India. IKN engineers have designed an innovative Pendulum cooler with a compact design that allows pre-assembly and reduces on-site assembly time. The cooler has been designed to gradually increase the rated capacity of production. The first clinker arrived at the cooler on 16 July 2023.

India’s cement producers have added around 7Mta of cement production capacity in the last few weeks alone as their expansion plans continue. Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd (DCBL) has agreed to sell its entire investment of 18,723,743 equity shares in Dalmia Bharat Refractories Ltd to M/s Sarvapriya Healthcare Solutions Private Ltd. The transaction represents 42.36 per cent of share capital, at a total consideration of INR8000m (US$97.12m), and forms part of DCBL’s strategy to exit non-core business/investment, according to the company.

Dalmia Cement reports 23% rise in revenue

Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd has reported a 22.7 per cent YoY increase in revenue to INR33,550m (US$405.6m) in the 3QFY22-23 ended 31 December 2022. EBITDA over the same period advanced by 57.5 per cent to INR6440m, while cement volumes expanded by 11.5 per cent to reach 6.3Mt.
